The 2022 World Wood Flooring Conference and the First China Wood Industry Technology Conference were successfully held in Huzhou

On August 13th, 2022, the World Wood Flooring Conference and the First China Wood Industry Technology Conference were successfully held in Deqing, Huzhou. The conference is jointly organized by the China Wood and Wood Products Circulation Association, the People's Government of Huzhou City, and the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It has received strong support from the Huzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Huzhou Commerce Bureau, Huzhou Big Data Development Management Bureau, Deqing County People's Government, and local associations. With the theme of "Technology Leading the Future", more than 700 leaders and guests from relevant government departments, as well as industry entrepreneurs, forestry universities, research institutions, and more than 50000 people attended the conference on-site and online.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Jin Kai, Vice Mayor of Huzhou Municipal People's Government, Li Jiafeng, President of China Wood and Wood Products Circulation Association, and Zhang Shankun, Vice President of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, delivered welcome speeches. Cao Yafen, Director of Deqing County Bureau of Commerce, made a presentation on Deqing's business environment. Eric Hansen, Director of the Agricultural Trade Department of the US Embassy in China, conveyed his wishes for the conference through video conferencing.

             

At the keynote speech stage, Jiang Zengwei, Vice President of the China International Economic Exchange Center, delivered a speech with the theme of "Meeting the changing times, building a modern circulation system, and expanding high-level opening up" in the form of video. Yin Weilun, academician of the CAE Member, delivered a keynote report on the development trend of China's wood industry in the context of "dual carbon" through video. Chen Shaozhi, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, introduced the scientific and technological development and market strategy of China's wood industry in the global context, and David Hopkins, Executive President of the British Wood Trade Federation, discussed the need for global governance of global forests through video.

At the Dean's Forum and Entrepreneur Summit Dialogue, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the theme of "Technology Leading the Future". The China Wood Industry Park • Market Industry Chain Empowerment High end Forum and the 2022 National Woodskin Industry High quality Development Seminar, held in conjunction with the event, focus on industry development hotspots, invite numerous industry experts and entrepreneurs to share trend insights, explore new development ideas, and go to the new era of the industry together. At the meeting, the China Wood Industry Science and Technology Award was also presented, and the top 100 Chinese wood industry enterprises were announced. The China Wood and Wood Products Circulation Association and other enterprises jointly signed the China Wood Industry Green Action Initiative.
